Rev. Justin Hancock

Rev. Justin Hancock, co-founder of The Julian Way, is a graduate of Perkins School of Theology with a Masters in Christian Ministry and an ordained Deacon in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Justin’s first book, The Julian Way: A Theology of Fullness for All of God’s People was published in 2018 and explores disability experience in the United States and in the history of Christian theology. 

Justin is a united methodist pastor in the dallas area who serves as the CEO of The Julian Way out of which he works as a disability advocate and activist. Pushing for full integration of disabled persons in a variety of faith spaces and the broader culture.

Justin's calling is to center the story of disability. Told by people with disabilties in order to create a culture where the power structures in our world can be accessed by all persons. 

Bekah Maren Anderson

Bekah Maren Anderson is a queer and disabled theologian, activist, and spiritual care provider. She began working with the Julian Way as an intern in January of 2022, and joined the team in her current role in August 2022. She has been working in the field of disability ministry since 2016, with roles including Cochair of the United Church of Christ Disabilities Ministries Board, Cofounder and Coleader of the Disability Theology Discussion Group, and Plenary Speaker at the Institute on Theology and Disability 2023. 

In her work with the Julian Way, Bekah provides one-on-one spiritual care, coordinates community gatherings, and oversees other pastoral care responsibilities. She also helps administer the LIFT Fund, cohosts the Palsys with Palsies podcast, and promotes disability justice within her denomination and beyond. 

She earned her Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in 2021, and is in the ordination process with the United Church of Christ. Bekah lives in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she can usually be found enjoying a cup of looseleaf tea and being harassed by her tiny gray cat Jasmine.

Dillon Hargrave

Dillon Hargrave is a multi-faceted leader, entrepreneur, and advocate dedicated to empowering others and breaking down barriers. As Director for the Sauntermore program, he leads innovative programs that equip leaders with disabilities to confidently navigate professional and personal spaces, challenging ableism and fostering inclusion.

With a diverse career that includes co-founding Baby D’s Bee Sting Hot Sauce and developing GED pipelines for underserved communities, Dillon has consistently driven meaningful impact. Currently training for the Paralympics in cycling, Dillon is committed to advancing accessibility and universal design principles.

Dillon is all about action—turning bold ideas into lasting change. His work reflects his passion for empowering others and building stronger, more inclusive spaces. With a goal of promoting universal design principles on authorities, boards, and commissions, he's shaping a world where accessibility is not an afterthought, but the cornerstone of thriving communities.
