A mostly beige color photo showing a young woman with dark brown hair and dark sunglasses wearing a beige high necked long-sleeve sweater is seated at a table reading an open braille book with her right fingertips. A slightly older woman with long black hair wearing a beige patterned dress is standing behind her, smiling, as she pulls the younger woman’s hair into a ponytail or a bun. In the background can be seen a wood patterned floor, light sage green wainscoating, and a cream wall. On the wall, behind the standing woman’s left shoulder, is a gold-tone frame with a cream mat and an unidentifiable dark beige picture.

Advocacy and Support:

We provide direct advocacy for individuals with disabilities, empowering them to access social services, find needed resources, and pursue their personal and spiritual goals.

Our LIFT Fund supports individuals in overcoming barriers, empowering them to take steps toward fulfilling their dreams. Whether navigating healthcare, educational access, or vocational opportunities, we are here to support the journey.

A cropped color photo of two seated people, facing each other, and holding hands with no faces shown. The person on the left is wearing a white short sleeve top under a pink floral sundress, with two bead bracelets on the right arm and a black strap on the left arm. The person on the right is wearing a black blazer but only the forearms and hands are visible. In the background are wooden back upholstered chairs and a white wall.

Faith Based Support and Direction:

At The Julian Way, we recognize that each individual’s faith journey is unique. Our team offers spiritual support and guidance tailored to the specific needs of individuals with disabilities.

Through one-on-one sessions, group gatherings, and mentorship, we help individuals explore their faith in ways that honor their full embodiment, encouraging them to connect with their spirituality without limitations.

A color photo of two people sitting in a large cream colored lobby surrounded by tables and chairs. The person on the left, seated at a table, has shoulder length wavy brown hair that is pulled away from their face with a navy blue and white bandana. They are wearing a beige blazer, black top, and blue jeans. Their legs are crossed and they are turned toward the other person in the photo. The other person is on the right side of the table, sitting in a wheelchair pulled up to the table, and has short red hair. They are wearing a coral-pink blazer and light khaki colored pants and seem very engaged in what the other person (on the left) is saying to them. Above the seating area in the middle of the lobby is a black mobile hanging from the ceiling, and a macrame wall hanging is on the wall in a large niche to the far left of the frame, next to a window where light is streaming in.

Accessibility Consulting

We work hand in hand with faith communities to assess and improve accessibility. From performing physical accessibility audits to facilitating anti ableism workshops, we support congregations in creating spaces where every individual feels welcome.

Our goal is to guide congregations toward practices and facilities that are not only compliant but also truly welcoming and barrier free, making them active agents of belonging and justice.

A color photo of a young woman who is gazing happily toward a lovely cute orange-tipped yellow rose in full bloom that she is holding with her right hand and her left light gray plastic articulated prosthetic hand. She is wearing a black long-sleeve top and is seated at a wooden table in what appears to be a restaurant. The top of a blurred drinking glass can be seen in the foreground on the right side of the frame.

Life Enhancement Opportunities

Through our LIFT Fund, The Julian Way provides financial support for individuals with disabilities pursuing dreams and goals that may be out of reach due to financial or systemic barriers.

This initiative opens doors for personal development, educational opportunities, and vocational growth, empowering individuals to realize their fullest potential.
